He was staying with his friends the Llandgrabbs. It was a little uncomfortable trying to get to know each other with them sitting with us. So we arranged to meet at the park for our first official date. It was fantastic and we had many more dates, The museum and Solar lounge but by far our favourite place was the park, It was the place we had our first kiss.
And the place I chose to propose. "Hey babe we have all the time in the world" was his reply if only he knew. I did have all the time in the world 600 plus years of it but I didn't want to spend another second of it without him by my side.
We start spending time at the local café another friend of his owned. he was homeless and my place was too small so this was the only way we could spend all our time together. I soon fell pregnant and he moved into my tiny place with me.
River found a job and I went back to my fishing., I was a level 6 fisher woman by then so my daily catch was worth a little more and with a baby on the way every penny counted.
The Baby arrived faster than I had hoped so social services had to provide us with a crib. Our little home was so cramped. it was difficult to stay upbeat.
By the time our little Papaya became a child we were no better off. We had to use all the money we had saved to build another bedroom and we were back to square 1 scrimping and saving just to be able to afford the everyday essentials. Papaya had also been born with the grey hair of the Guardian but as she would not outlive me I decided to keep my burden to myself for as long as possible. Not even River needed to know not now, maybe not ever.
